Arsenal are eyeing a sensational move for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard has attracted the interest of several top European teams this season, and looks certain to leave the Bernabeu in the summer after failing to win a place in the Madrid starting lineup.
Arsenal are not the only top English team looking to sign the striker this summer. Chelsea and Manchester United have also been tracking the Spaniard.
Antonio Conte prefers to sign the Spanish International, whom he signed for Juventus when he was manager of the Turin based side.
Morata led Juventus to the final of the 2015 Champions League before sealing a much publicized return to the Bernabeu. However, his second stint at Real Madrid has been very disappointing for the attacker.
Manchester Unted boss Jose Mourinho is also a firm admirer of his talent, and the Portuguese manager sees him as someone who can replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the Red Devil’s attack. Romelu Lukaku is Mourinho’s first choice, however, the Belgian looks like he would prefer to re-join Chelsea.
Wenger believes that Morata would prefer to join the Gunners, because he would be guaranteed first team football.
