It is being reported that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is prepared to sell at least one of his big name players in the January transfer window.
According to the media, Wenger will allow Theo Walcott to depart the Emirates providing a decent enough offer comes in.
Walcott is basically a fringe player now, he hardly gets a game in the Premier League and with this being a world cup season he will desperately want regular playing time.
The England forward, who has appeared over 400 times for the Gunners, is reportedly wanted by both West Ham and his former club Southampton.
Walcott is not the only fringe player that Wenger is prepared to dispense with, Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson and Calum Chambers are all available for sale.
A mini clear out is expected but Wenger hopes not to have to include either Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez in the fire sale, he still retains some hope that he can persuade one, if not both, to sign new contracts.
