Arsenal ready to play hardball with Man Utd in transfer market
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, is prepared to hit back at Manchester united manager Jose Mourinho, for eyeing Gunners star Mesut Ozil, by making a move for United winger Jesse Lingard, according to the latest press reports.
It was reported last month how Mourinho was contemplating a move for Ozil because of the Germans reluctance to sign a contract extension at the Emirates, this has apparently wound up Wenger who has decided to retaliate by targeting United player Lingard.
The England 23 year old winger also has a deal that will expire at the end of the next season and Wenger, has his eyes locked on him. He could get a £120,000 a week contract with a move to North London, with a fresh new deal at the “theatre of dreams” yet to be sorted.
One thing is for sure, neither club will give ground and will demand a huge premium for their players, unless the respective contracts are run down.
Could be interesting times ahead.
