Arsenal have received a boost in their quest to sign two of Olympique Lyon’s star players. The Gunners are currently planning a major overhaul that would see many players come and go from the Emirates Stadium. Despite the fact that Arsene Wenger’s future is still not sorted out, the club is believed to have asked the Frenchman to draw up a list of possible summer buys.
Wenger has a host of players he wants to bring in, he also wants to sort out the future of contract rebels, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
But they have now received a lift, after Lyon’s present Jean-Michel Aulas admitted that it would be difficult to keep the duo of Alexandre Lacazette and Corentin Tolisso if they fail to win the Europa League.
Lacazette has been in solid form for Lyon, the 25 year old has scored at least 20 goals for the club for the past two seasons. He has already netted 29 times in just 36 games this season. It is this potency in attack that has seen him linked with the Gunners for three seasons now.
Corentin Tolisso, has also become a mainstay in the Lyon first team and his good performances earned him a French cap last month.
Wenger would hope that Lyon don’t qualify for the Champions League so that he can get his men.
