Arsenal is refusing to give up on the signing of AS Monaco teenage winger, Thomas Lemar. The young winger was one of the stars of Monaco’s impressive season, and the French champions are refusing to let him go this summer. However, Arsenal have also refused to give up.
The Gunners have had two successive bids of £30 million and £40 million rejected by the Municipal club who believes that they can sell him for a higher fee next season.
Arsene Wenger has told the Gunners’ hierarchy to do whatever they can to sign the midfielder, and they are set to return with an improved offer of £45 million plus addons.
Lemar is also keen to sign for the Gunners and has reportedly told Monaco he wants to leave. Some French sources are claiming the midfielder has had his head turn by the significant pay raise he would receive if he moves to London. The Gunners are prepared to pay him £90,000 per week which is a huge increase to his current pay.
