Arsenal are set to offer a contract to Chilean youngster, Marcelo Allende. The player has been on trial at the Emirates twice and is said to have impressed the Gunners.

Allende was the captain of Chile’s U17 team at the 2015 U17 World Cup. He was in outstanding form for the team before Chile were knocked out of the competition by Nigeria.

Arsenal have been unable to offer him a contract yet because he has not reached the age that a youngster should be offered a deal according to FIFA.

He can play anywhere in attack and currently plies his trade with Deportes Santa Cruz in Chile, but Arsenal are ready to bring him over, if they can get a work permit for him.

Allende would turn 18 today, and may be offered a deal by the Gunners.

The Gunners are known for blooding some of the World’s best young players. The Gunners have also been focusing on South American players for some time and believe that Allende is superstar in the making if he can been guided right.
