Arsenal fans who have been worried about the future of their full back Hector Bellerin are about to find out if their worries are worth it.
The Spain international has been a target of the Catalans who helped him through his early footballing development at their La Masia Academy, and they were hell-bent on re-signing him this summer.
But the Gunners wrote an official letter to the former European champions informing them that they would not sell him this summer and also requested that they desist from unsettling him. Barcelona pulled out their interest and instead went on to sign Nelson Semedo from Benfica.
However, most Gunners’ faithful were still worried that Bellerin secretly wanted to leave the Emirates, and the Spaniard has given a hint that he is set to stay.
Using his social media account, he shared an image of himself with the caption “Going back to London like…” this seems to have encouraged the club’s fans with many responding to his post with positive comments.
Many of the users expressed happiness at finding out that he wants to stay, while others praised him as the best in his position in the Premier League.
