Arsenal is set to allow Spanish attacker Lucas Perez to leave after just one season following a £18 million move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Spanish striker was the last attacker in the Gunner’s pecking order last season, as Arsene Wenger preferred using Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud ahead of him.
But the signing of Alexandre Lacazette has made it almost impossible for him to get playing minutes and this is a World Cup year.
The Gunners have further irritated the Spaniard after they gave his number 9 shirt to new signing, Lacazette without informing him, this act is said to have angered to Spaniard who has asked to leave.
His former club Deportivo La Coruna have asked to take him back, but for an obviously lesser price than what the Gunners paid them for his services last summer. He is also attracting the interest of Turkish side Fenerbahce, who may be likely to pay more.
Arsene Wenger considers Perez a top striker, but cannot offer him more playing time. The Frenchman admitted last season that Perez deserved more playing time because he had always impressed in the small opportunities he had gotten to play for the Gunners.
