Arsenal star Theo Walcott believes that he should get more of a chance down the middle after he notched up his ninth goal of this campaign and became the clubs top scorer this season.
Speaking to Talk Sport he said: I’ve always believed I was a striker,” he told Stan on Call Collymore.
“The boss gave me five minutes at the end there and I managed to grab a goal which was great. But when you’ve got someone like Olivier [Giroud] who is playing well there’s no need to change a winning team.
“My time will come, I’ve just got to be patient, but like a say, I want to play upfront, that’s my best position” (Talk Sport)
Walcott has been in impressive form for the Gunners this term and knows that boss Arsene Wenger prefers Olivier Giroud as his out-and-out striker. So unless he gets his chance sooner rather than later, he could well decide his time is up at Arsenal and he wants a move
