Arsenal star urged to leave by former Chelsea legend

Former Chelsea legend Ray Wilkins has urged Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to leave the Emirates for the sake of his England Career.

Chelsea are reported to be interested in Oxlade-Chamberlain, and it appears that he would be very welcomed at Stamford Bridge, certainly if it was left up to Wilkins he would be.

“I would say to Oxlade-Chamberlain: leave, I really would,” Wilkins told Talksport

“We’ve [England] got these massive Championships coming up in the summer and he needs to be playing football. I love him. He’s very positive and he’s quick. I think you could even play him in a midfield three as well because he can go past people and eliminate people from the game.

“He’s a super young player and I like him immensely. Many moons ago people use to vie him against Theo [Walcott] and that would be the natural assumption, but my preference is Oxlade-Chamberlain.”

It is fair to say that Arsenal do not make the most of the Oxlade-Chamberlain’s talents and maybe a move is best for all concerned. © 2017 Frontier Theme
