Arsenal’s quest to sell Jack Wilshere may not be successful as the England man does not want to move abroad.
Wilshere is one of the many Gunners’ stars who has been told they can leave the Emirates this summer as the England midfielder’s injury woes threaten to spoil his career.
Wilshere spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and made 27 appearances, just when he was getting back to full fitness, he injured himself after a tackle from Harry Kane and was sent back to the Gunners. Eddie Howe decided against making the move permanent.
Italian side Sampdoria and Turkish side Antalyaspor are the only sides to have expressed interest in his signature, but Wilshere wants to remain in England, London preferably.
Wilshere rejected a move to AS Roma last summer, partly because he was starting a family and does not want to be far from his wife and kids at this time.
This would be a major trouble for Arsenal who wants to make close to £20 million from his sale.
West Ham is only looking to get him on loan for the season, and Arsenal do not want a loan deal because he has just one year left on his contract.
