Arsenal has received a major boost in their quest to sign AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar as it emerges that the player has asked that he be allowed to move and join his dream team which the Gunners are.
The Gunners have been locked in negotiations with the French champions over the transfer of Lemar for some weeks now, with Monaco demanding an outrageous fee for the 21 years old, who has only one full season to his name.
Arsenal has had bids of £30 million, and £40 million rejected so far as AS Monaco seek to keep hold of their remaining players.
The French champions are scared of their squad being ripped apart after they allowed Bernardo Silva to join Manchester City, Tiemoue Bakayoko to join Chelsea, and the also expecting Benjamin Mendy and Kylian Mbappe to move.
But Lemar apparently has his heart in North London. The Gunners have reportedly offered him a personal pay packet in the region of £90,000 per week which is a huge leap from his current modest income in France.
The Gunners are hoping that the club would not want to keep an unhappy player and let him leave.
