Arsenal have reportedly been tracking Malaga’s teenage midfielder, Pablo Fonals.
The midfielder is one of the most highly rated teenage midfielders in Spain and the Gunners have made him a top priority this season.
Fonals has been very impressive in Malaga’s underwhelming season, and Arsene Wenger wants him to be a part of his new side for next season.
According to Spanish media, the Gunners are prepared to offer £15 million for the signature of the 21 year old.
The midfielder has a contract with Malaga until the summer of 2019, but the club is keen on tying him to a new deal sooner.
He was handed his full Spain debut last year, and it is believed that Spain boss, Julen Lopetegui clearly rates the teenager highly.
Fonals is adept at playing in central midfield, attacking midfield and right side of attacking midfield. He has started 25 games this season scoring 5 goals and assisting two more.
The Gunners see him as a long term replacement for Santi Cazorla who may have played his last game for the club.
