Arsenal to make move as Wenger free to talk business with deadly assassin

Arsenal could make a move for Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in the January window and land an absolute bargain, according to the Metro.

If a player is over 23 and has six months or less remaining on his contract, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club, and he will then move to that side on a free transfer when his deal runs out.

And that could see Arsene Wenger finally land the lethal Dutchman as soon as the window opens up.

They have long been linked with the striker, and despite his age, his goal-scoring record at the very top of the game is one that will striker fear into many Premier League defenders.
