Arsenal have been told they must act fast if they want to sign up Daniele Baselli after Atalanta director general Pierpaolo Marino revealed that talks have started with AC Milan over a big-money move.
Arsene Wenger has been strongly linked with a move for the Italian midfielder who has been one of the standout players this season.
But Marino says that negotiations have got underway with Italian giants Milan.
As quoted on the TalkSport website, Marino said: “The deal for Baselli to Milan is real, but it’s not done yet. There is no certainty that it will be concluded.
“President [Antonio] Percassi and I were able to speak with [Milan Vice-President] Adriano Galliani, who showed great interest in the lad.
“Milan have a moral first option on our player, yes, but I absolutely would not say that the deal is already done.”
