Despite Arsenal’s best effort to stop their star players from joining any of their direct rivals this summer, it appears as though they may not be the eventual winners.
The Gunners’ failure to qualify for the Champions League next season has seen many of their stars attract the interest of other European sides. One such player is their season’s top scorer, Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean was in top form and helped the Gunners win back the FA Cup, but he has refused to sign a new deal with just one year left on his current deal.
He might not sign a new deal with the Gunners if the wish of his national teammate and friend were to come true.
According to the Daily Star, Claudio Bravo has pleaded with the attacker to come and join him at the Etihad.
Sanchez claims he knows the team he would play for next season but is not ready to announce them just yet. However, the Gunners have ruled out the possibility of selling him to a rival and would rather deal with a foreign club.
With Bayern Munich pulling out of the deal, it wouldn’t be surprising if he chooses to remain at the Emirates next season.
