Arsenal very close to allowing player to return to his homeland
Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, may return to former club Deportivo La Coruna this summer. Reports from Spain are claiming that his former team are ready to take him back, but only on a season long loan deal.
Perez has failed to nail a spot in the Gunner’s starting eleven, and is said to be unhappy with his situation. He has started only two Premier League games this season. The Spaniard has managed to score 8 goals from 22 appearances this season, most of them from the bench.
Despite his efforts, Arsene Wenger still does not trust him and prefers to play Alexis Sanchez as a false nine rather than play the Spaniard.
Perez wants to play for Spain at the 2018 FIFA World cup in Russia, but he knows that he has to play more games to increase his chances of making it.
Deportivo have now opened talks with Arsenal to see if they loan the player for the whole of the 2017/2018 season.
Perez is however happy in London, and only wishes to play regularly.
