Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has risked the ire of the club’s fans by once again stating that finishing in the top four is like winning a trophy at Arsenal.

According to Wenger, there was no specific target for him to achieve this season, and he believes finishing in the top on the premier league table is underrated. The Club’s Chief executive this week admitted that, the recent results recorded by the team has called for necessary changes, which has heightened rumours that Arsene Wenger may not be offered a new contract when his current deal expires after this season.

Wenger is rumoured to have received a vote of confidence from the club’s board, but the recent outbreak of protest from the club’s fans to try and force them to sack him has made his future more uncertain. The club has already set plans in motion to try and install a sporting director, a position Wenger had previously opposed, whether he stays or not.

Wenger was asked what specific target the club had set for him to achieve before the end of this season, he indicated that there was no target, and that he has set a target for himself to finish as high as possible.
