As the transfer window gets closer, the big teams have begun to show how strong they are financially, while some are planning with a huge budget, others face limitations. One such team is Arsenal.
The Gunners had an underwhelming season which saw them finish outside the top four and fail to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years. They are planning to improve on this woeful season with a challenge for the league title next season.
However, their manager Arsene Wenger is scared that they may not be able to sign as much quality players as their rivals this summer. Wenger has been promised a budget of about £100 million, but with the current rate of players in the transfer market, that sum could help them sign only three quality players.
Wenger still expects to make some money from the sale of some of their players, but those players are fringe players and would not bring much money into their transfer budget.
