Arsene Wenger moves to squash rumours of dressing room disharmony

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has rubbished claims that there is a rift between Alexis Sanchez and the rest of the Arsenal squad.

It was originally former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and former Liverpool great Graeme Souness that got tongues wagging when they opined about the relationship between the team and Sanchez following the lacklustre congratulations he got from his teammates when he scored against Crystal Palace last week.

The opposite happened yesterday when the whole team ran to Sanchez to celebrate him scoring against West Brom.

When asked about the mood in the dressing room between the players and Sanchez, Wenger said

“There was never a problem inside.

“There are some people who want to always create problems. We focus on our own problems and that is the only important thing.”

Not sure the problems are being created by anyone other than Sanchez himself and to some extent Arsenal. It is clear that Sanchez wants to leave and to think that does not feed into the dressing room dynamics is very naive.
