Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, believes that Alexis Sanchez wants to remain with the Gunners for at least one more season. The Frenchman however admitted that they will need to reach an agreement with his agent.

Sanchez has just 18 months left in his contract, and has rejected the new contract offered by the Gunners, as it does not match his own valuation of himself.

The Chilean has hinted that he is settled in London and would love to continue playing in a club in that city. But many think the player is eyeing a switch to rivals, Chelsea.

Sanchez is one of the top players on Chelsea’s shopping list, and even though they know that dealing with Arsenal will be complicated, the Blues are confident that Arsenal will accept an offer from them if the player is determined to join them or risk losing him for nothing next summer.

Wenger believes that all this speculation about the player’s future will be cleared off if they can reach an agreement with the player’s agent.

Sanchez contract situation is closely monitored by top European sides including Bayern Munich and PSG. Most of the teams monitoring him would be willing to meet his salary demand.
