Arsenal have done their very best to convince AS Monaco’s attacker Kylian Mbappe to join them this summer.
Reports emerging from France is claiming that the Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger was afforded three hours with the French prodigy to try and convince him to move to London. The meeting was allegedly held on the 14th of June after France’s international friendly with England.
Mbappe was told that he would have the first team spot on the team and could become a Gunner’s legend like his idol Thierry Henry. He was seemingly convinced but subsequent meetings with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and manager, Zinedine Zidane made him delay his decision. Also a major obstacle for the Gunners is that the teenager’s mother prefers him joining Real Madrid.
Arsenal has gone on to sign Alexandre Lacazette for a club record fee, but Arsene Wenger remains keen and believes until the teenager chooses another team, they still remain favourites to sign him.
