After completing the free signing of left back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke 04, Arsenal is set to capture yet another of their transfer targets.
Arsene Wenger, who was spotted in France last week, is set to complete the signing of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette has been a target for the Gunners over the past three seasons, and may finally join them this summer. He is one of the most consistent attackers in European football over the past few seasons and has netted at least 20 league goals over the past three seasons.
Lacazette preferred a move to Atletico Madrid, but after seeing their transfer ban upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sports, he has decided to move to another club. The Frenchman looked to have eliminated the Gunners from his list of clubs last month when he said that he would only move to a team that plays in the Champions League. However, he has had a change of mind, and last week indicated that although playing in the Champions League was good, it was not the most important reason he would play for a club.
Arsene Wenger is hoping he can do a deal with Lyon for £50 million for the attacker.
