Arsene Wenger has warned Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain that it would be very risky for him if he leaves the Emirates. Chamberlain has 12 months left with his current deal with the Gunners and is said to be looking for a move away, but his manager thinks that would be a disastrous decision by him.
Chamberlain joined Arsenal as a central midfielder but has been used more often as a winger by the Gunners, a position the players does not really enjoy playing. But Wenger has explained his decision to play him out of position.
According to Wenger, Chamberlain takes too many chances dribbling around certain dangerous areas. Which always puts the team at too much risk.
Chamberlain, 23, is a target of many top six teams in England including Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham and the player’s age makes him a valuable long term asset for any team that signs him.
Arsenal were rumoured to be willing to offload the English man as they plan to rebuild their team this summer, but on this evidence, it seems there has been a change of mind by the club.
