Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been promised a huge transfer budget as he remains the Gunners boss beyond this season.
The Frenchman, whose future has been a major doubt, has signed a new two years deal with the Gunners which may not be his last deal with the North London club.
Wenger was given an additional time with the Gunners despite a heavy backlash from a large group of the club’s supporters. American majority owner Stan Kroenke believes the Frenchman is unfairly being targeted by the fans and believes he is the only manager that can bring back the glory days to the team.
Wenger’s new deal was helped by the fact that he won the FA Cup for a record 13th time this season, and the club has now decided to back him up so that he can bring more trophies to the Emirates.
It is believed that Schalke’s left back Sead Kolasinac would be the Wenger’s first signing, but the defender would come in for free as Wenger continues to search for players he would spend heavily on.
They also expect some players to leave the Emirates, among them, are Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, and contract rebels Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
