It is being reported that Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian is wanted by at least three Serie A clubs this winter.
Darmian has been a flop at United and it was always going to the case that he would be moved on, it now appears that time has come and he will be departing Old Trafford this January.
The Italian cost United £12.7m from Torino in 2015 and there were high hopes for the Italy international but as so often happens he failed to adapt and is no longer in the plans of Jose Mourinho.
He has started just twice this season and is clearly surplus to requirements and if the price is right it is almost certain he will be sold in the upcoming transfer window.
Juventus, Napoli and Roma are all reported to be interested in signing the 27-year-old, they obviously believe he can still play at the top level and he probably can, just not in the Premier League.
United will want to recoup what they paid out and considering the age of the player and the fact that he is an international then the chances are they will get what they want for him, he is under contract until 2019 and so it is not as if the Red Devils must sell at a knocked down price.
