Chelsea’s bid to sign Sevilla’s midfielder, Vitolo has suffered a major setback after Atletico Madrid moved swiftly to offer a more suitable deal for the midfielder.
According to Talksport, Atletico has told the player that they would sign him and loan him to his childhood club, Las Palmas until the end of their transfer ban in January.
Vitolo is said to be happy with the arrangement, and he is ready to snub a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues were hoping to sign him and use his tremendous experience playing and winning the Europa League to inspire some of their team members that they can win the Champions League next season.
Vitolo has been very consistent for Sevilla over the past few seasons and is looking for a new Challenge after winning the Europa League back-to-back with the Andalusians.
Chelsea may not allow Nemanja Matic leave Stamford Bridge if they fail to sign Vitolo.
