Barcelona getting ready to hijack Man Utd deal for young Brazilian

Manchester United’s deal for Flamengo’s Brazilian starlet Vinicius Junior, may be hijacked by Barcelona.

Vinicius has been in sparkling form for Brazil’s U17 team as they romped to victory in the South American U17 championship by trashing Chile 5 -0 in the final.

Media reports from Brazil indicates that Barcelona are closer than Manchester United in securing the signature of the player who is valued at £30 million.

Flamengo have admitted that United have contacted them about the availability of the player and the player is to decide where he wants to play his club football next season.

Barcelona are said to be using the influence of Brazilian star Neymar, to tempt Vinicius to choose them over other European rivals.

Chelsea had been mentioned as a possible destination for the player, but their interest in the player cooled off after the player considered the fact that they hardly give their youth players chance at first team football. He was also scouted by Arsenal, but the Gunners have too many internal problems to sort out this summer.

United are not giving up as they hope to persuade the player with a huge salary.
