There has been some rumours emerge which have claimed Arsenal could once again be raided by Barcelona in the summer for Captain Thomas Vermaelen.
Barca are already scouting potential replacements and they have stepped up their checks on Belgium star Vermaelen.
It means Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could face another frustrating summer trying to hang on to a key man.
Vermaelen, 27, signed a four-year contract extension in October 2011 and was handed the captaincy by Wenger when Cesc Fabregas left for the Nou Camp. (Sunday Mirror)
Although Vermaelen has shown no desire to leave the club in the near future, he may find it very difficult to turn down a big money move to the Spanish giants and they could steal one of their best players once again.
