It seems as if the Premier League would become the victim of PSG’s signing of Neymar as Barcelona have identified Philippe Coutinho, and Eden Hazard as the Brazilian’s replacement.
Barcelona permitted Neymar to leave for PSG yesterday after he joined the French champions for an astonishing £198 million, more than double the current world record transfer fee.
Barcelona has now turned their attention to replacing one of their MSN. The Catalan giants had a £72 million bid for Coutinho rejected a few weeks ago as they were making a last ditch attempt to stop Neymar from leaving, but the Reds rejected the offer, and Jurgen Klopp has been adamant that Coutinho will not leave Anfield this summer.
However, it is reported that Liverpool has asked Barcelona to pay £130 million for Coutinho whom they signed for £8.5 million four years ago.
Barcelona has also established contact with Eden Hazard via a third party as they look to make the Belgian Neymar’s direct replacement on the left side of their attack. They believe the Belgian would be easy to sign as he has already won all the trophies he can win in England and is keen to add the Champions League to his trophy cabinet.
