Former Barcelona defender Eric Abidal has urged his former employers to sign Monaco right back Djibril Sidibe as their first choice right back. Barcelona have been in the market for a right back since they sold Dani Alves last summer. They have scouted Hector Bellerin extensively and almost lured him back home last summer before he signed a new deal with the Gunners.

Bellerin is one of the most sought after full backs in Europe, and despite the fact that he has signed a contract extension, the uncertainty surrounding Arsene Wenger’s future might make the player decide to move this summer.

Bellerin is Barcelona first choice and they have been scouting the La Masia Academy graduate for a long time now. However, Sidibe who has also been linked with a host of Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea is also on Barca’s radar.

Barcelona have a good relationship with Arsenal, and they would hope that Arsenal would be willing to do business with them on Bellerin.
