Tottenham may be set to lose another of their stars despite failing to land any of their targets so far. The Lilywhites have been very idle in the transfer market so far in terms of incomings, but they have sold Kyle Walker among others, which leaves them with a thinner squad.
Bayern Munich manager, Carlo Ancelotti has told the Bavarians to sign Eric Dier for him as a replacement for Renato Sanches. The Italian manager is impressed by the English man’s versatility and believes he would give him more options in his team.
Dier was a target of Jose Mourinho for much of this summer, but Tottenham insisted that he was not for sale. However, sources close to White Hart Lane believe that a huge bid from a team outside England would move Daniel Levy to discuss the player’s transfer.
Spurs have been trying to sign Everton’s Ross Barkley, but Everton’s £50 million demand, and the midfielder’s wage demand has seen that move stall, money from the sale of Dier would free up more funds for his transfer as well as release more funds for wages.
