Manchester United has registered their interest in the signature of Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier.
The 26-year-old Belgium had been earning great plaudits from the French media prior to the arrival of Brazilian star Dani Alves preseason but now he struggling to get game time under Unai Emery which has put United on red alert.
Jose Mourinho has been tracking the defender since he was playing for some time and the Portuguese manager is thought to see him as a long-term replacement Antonio Valencia who looks to be in his final season at Old Trafford.
Meunier is reported to be a huge fan of the Red Devils and only last February he admitted that he dreams of joining United, the club he has followed since he was a kid.
PSG will be wanting a fee in the region of £30 million, a figure that United will not think twice about spending and considering all the circumstances the chances are that Meunier will be setting up camp in the North of England, possibly as soon as January.
