Brazilian box-to-box man ‘desperate’ to get Chelsea move

There has been some reports which have claimed Tottenham midfielder Paulinho is desperate to join Chelsea this summer window.

Jose Mourinho’s beaten Champions League semi-finalists have been made aware that the Brazilian would willingly quit Spurs to join them, just a year after his arrival at the White Hart Lane club for £17million.

The obvious benefit of signing Paulinho is that he has already had time to adapt to the Premier League, has the kind of energy essential to Jose Mourinho’s football, and is one of the few examples in the contemporary game of a ‘box-to-box’ style midfielder, something Chelsea will lose when Frank Lampard finally retires.

And now the Daily Mirror website claim the 25-year-old is keen to get a deal done, as he looks to play at the very top of the game.
