Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has opened the door for a move to Manchester United, saying it would be a ‘great step’ if he moved to Old Trafford.
With David de Gea’s future at Old Trafford uncertain as Real Madrid ponder their next move and United are believed to be preparing for life without the Spaniard.
And while admitting he is happy at Ajax, Cillessen would welcome a move to United.
‘I only hear rumours. I don’t worry about it until I hear something from my agent – if I don’t hear anything I’ll enjoy playing at Ajax. I don’t know anything,’ Cillessen told Sky Sports News.
‘I asked Memphis Depay if he had heard anything but he didn’t know anything either. It would be a great step but I am happy at Ajax.’
