Forgotten Chelsea left back Baba Rahman, may return to his on-loan club Schalke next season.
Reports coming from Germany indicates that the German club is keen on reopening talks with Chelsea to try and see if they can secure another loan deal for the player.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, informed Rahman that he was not part of his plan when the Italian became the Blues manager. Rahman who is good going forward but a bit suspect at defensive duties, had to join Schalke for a season-long loan deal.
He was outstanding for his loan club until a serious knee injury sustained at the African cup of nations ended his season.
He is unlikely going to force his way back into Conte’s plan next season, and that could mean another loan deal is on the cards.
According to Schalke’s sporting director Christian Heidel, he has been missed by the club since the injury and if there was a possibility of him leaving Stanford bridge again, they would try to get him.
Conte wants a new full back, but he has not taken notice of Rahman’s development in Germany, and that could mean he would allow the player to move, while he looks for a more accomplished alternative.
