Hamburg SV midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu is ready to leave the fallen giants, according to the Hamburger Morgenpost.
The highly-rated youngster has been linked with a move to Chelsea for the last few months, as Blues scouts have sent impressive reports back to Jose Mourinho.
And they will be boosted by the news that he wants out of the German side.
“They were shocked [Carl Jarchow and Oliver Kreuzer] when I told them that I wanted to go.
“They had not expected, because for them I was always the small, quiet Hakan,”
“Mr. Jarchow had a bet with newspaper reporters that I would stay with HSV if we got relegated.
“I thought that was disrespectful. I gave everything for HSV and he made bets about my future.
“I came here great hope, but I lost it. The coaching change, the whole discussion. For me as a young player that was hard to deal with.”
