Chelsea agree massive £38.8 million deal as sought after French star set to sign with Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly agreed £35.8million fee for French international Raphael Varane, according to the Golazogoal website.

The French defender is rated as the best young stars in the game, and it is no secret that Jose Mourinho has been keen to try and bring him to Stamford Bridge as John Terry’s long-term successor.

Now reports have claimed that may be a reality as they have agreed a £35.8 million deal with Real Madrid.

Varane has struggled to get in ahead of Pepe and Sergio Ramos at Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti, and Rafa Benitez is set to stick with the world class duo, meaning game time for Varane will again be limited.
