The London duo has been long time admirers of Celtic attacker Moussa Dembele and now may be the right time for them to swoop for the forward.
Dembele may have stayed at Celtic longer than many expected when he joined them from Fulham last summer. The Frenchman has been scoring goals for fun in the Scottish top flight and scored over 30 goals last season as Brendan Rodgers side went through the season unbeaten domestically.
Chelsea tried to sign Dembele during the winter transfer window, but the Scots refused to sanction a move away at the time, but they would be willing to listen to offers now.
Dembele has been linked with moves back home to Olympique Marseille, but respected French media outlet RMC Sport have come out to say Dembele has no desire to move to a French club, but he is very interested in moving to either the Premier League or Bundesliga.
Arsene Wenger was looking at Dembele, but after signing Alexandre Lacazette, he had reportedly abandoned the pursuit of the player’s signature, however, that may change now that Celtic are prepared to sell at the right price.
Celtic would be willing to sell him for at least £40 million, which would be a huge profit on the £500,000 they paid to sign him from Fulham.
