Premier League champions Chelsea, have begun a full-scale operation to try and lure some of the best players in Europe to Stamford Bridge next season. The Blues are competing in no less than four competitions next season, and want to beef up their squad to avoid a poor showing in any of those competitions.
One of the players they are targeting is Real Madrid’s star man, Luka Modric. The Croatian is set to lead Real Madrid to another Champions League trophy, his second since joining them from Tottenham.
However, with the emergence of Casimero under Coach Zinedine Zidane, it is believed that Madrid would like to cash in on the Croatian before his value drops too low, Chelsea and Arsenal are interested.
Modric turns 32 in September and Antonio Conte believes he is still a very productive player that could replace the outgoing Cesc Fabregas.
Arsene Wenger wants him to replace the injury prone Santi Cazorla as the Spaniard comes to the end of his time at the Emirates.
