Man Utd and Chelsea are very close to agreeing the £35 Million transfer of the Blues midfielder Nemanja Matic, according to the latest reports from the media.
All that has to happen is for Chelsea to complete a deal for Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, once that happens then they will sanction the Matic transfer.
The reports further claim that these deals could be completed by the weekend.
Furthermore, United and Matic are said to have agreed on personal terms which will see the Serbian sign a four-year contract worth an incredible £150,000 per week in wages.
United manager Jose Mourinho originally signed Matic from Benfica for £21 Million back in 2014 and despite a fall out between the pair, it looks as if a reunification is on the cards.
Mourinho sees Matic as the perfect long-term replacement for 35-year-old Michael Carrick who has recently signed a new one-year contract extension.
It is slightly unusual for a club to sell to a rival such a quality player but Chelsea do need to sell some of their players because of the extravagant spending they are expected to do this summer and so it was really a case of needs must.
