Fenerbahce’s centre back Simon Kjaer, is the subject of interest from both Chelsea and Man Utd.
According to sources, United are very keen having been scouting the Dane all season. The player has also been linked to top European clubs such as AC Milan, Athletico Madrid, and Liverpool.
Chelsea wanted to sign the player during the January transfer window, but Fenerbahce were not interested in selling the player who is a mainstay in their first team.
The player who is rated at £20 million by his club, has experience playing in Serie A and the French League 1, having represented teams there in the past.
The powerfully built 28 year old is a fan’s favourite and has indicated in the past that he and his family are settled in Istanbul.
However, the Yellow Canaries could be forced to sell their prized asset if they fail to secure European football next season. They are currently ranked 4th in the league table, and have to at least remain in the fourth spot if they want to play in Europe next season.
Chelsea and United may however be reluctant to pay £20 million for a player who is getting on in years.
