Chelsea and Manchester United now know how much they will have to pay if they want to tempt Italian champions Juventus to sell defender Leonardo Bonucci.
Both United and Chelsea have long been linked with the Italian International and a fee in the region of £50 Million is being touted as a high enough offer to persuade the Turin giants to sell.
Both clubs are desperate to strengthen their defensive area this summer and a player of Bonucci’s quality would be a perfect candidate for both sides.
Chelsea is expected to make the first move and will reportedly offer 48 million pounds for the 30-year-old, it will then be up to United to either match that offer or better it.
The final decision will, however, rest with the player himself, whether to stay in Italy with Juventus or to move to the Premier League and a new challenge.
The only strange part about this rumour is the age of Bonucci, he is 30 and it would be unusual for Chelsea to pay £48 Million for a player that age, but who knows, this summer may see a change.
