In what could be a major boost in their hopes of luring one of Europe’s best players at the moment, Chelsea and Manchester United have been informed that their transfer target and AS Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko, has not held talks with any team regarding a move.
Reports from France last week claimed that Bakayoko had held talks with French giants PSG over a possible move in the summer, with some claiming the midfielder had already agreed personal terms and the transfer would be completed when the transfer window kicks in.
But, the player’s brother and agent Abdoulaye Bakayoko, has denied that report as completely false. According to him, his brother is having a solid season with AS Monaco, why would he think of leaving to join an underperforming PSG team at a time like this.
Bakayoko has been one of the shinning lights of a very young AS Monaco team that are currently topping the French Ligue 1 as well as reaching the UEFA Champions League semifinals.
He has three goals and one assist in 42 games so far this season.
