Keita Balde Diao has dealt a huge blow to the ambitions of English teams who are planning to sign him, as the Senegalese is said to have made it clear he prefers staying in Italy.
Balde has been strongly linked with moves to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Manchester United speculated as his possible destination.
Balde has been in great form this season, which has seen him score eight goals in 30 games. He was one of the stars of the Senegalese team that almost won the African championship early this year.
Chelsea have been tracking him and believe he can add more steel to their midfield as they plan to participate in more competitions next season. The Blues will obviously qualify for the Champions League, which would mean they would play in at least 4 competitions. Their current squad would not serve them.
Manchester United want Balde to replace Michael Carrick as the England man reaches the end of his time at Old Trafford.
However, Balde is said to prefer playing in the Italian Serie A, and may consider a move to Juventus over playing in the Premiership.
