It seems as if all the talks of Chelsea and Tottenham being interested in signing Ross Barkley from Everton are just paper talk, as the Toffees manager has confirmed that they have not received any official bid from his suitors.
Barkley has just 12 months left on his current Everton deal, and the Toffees have given up on tying him down to a new deal after he revealed that he wanted a new challenge. However, they consider him a good player and want at least £50 million for his signature.
Tottenham have been long term suitors of the England man with Mauricio Pochettino keen on signing him since last summer, however, the Argentine and his club president consider Barkley too expensive at £50 million and are also reluctant to offer him a deal worth £100,000 per week that Everton has offered him.
Antonio Conte also sees Barkley as a potential star in his midfield, but Chelsea has been reluctant in spending money on English players, so they are yet to make any offer for him.
If Barkley fails to secure a move away, Ronald Koeman has confirmed that he would reintegrate him into his squad for the new season.
