Chelsea are preparing to sign £30 Million Serie A veteran

Chelsea looks to have given up on signing Real Madrid’s Danilo after it emerged that Manchester City is favourites to sign the Brazilian. The Blues have instead turned their attention to the Italian Serie A, as they look to sign Inter Milan’s Antonio Candreva.

The 30-year-old is a very reliable winger who made a name for himself at SS Lazio before moving to the Italian capital last summer for £18 million.

However, Inter Milan would be reluctant to let him leave and they would rather sell Manchester United’s target Ivan Perisic.

Antonio Conte is still looking for a competing right wing back for Victor Moses as he believes with more competition, the Nigerian would improve his own performance.

Danilo looked to be the Blues primary target, but if he does move, he would be headed to the Etihad, as Pep Guardiola has convinced him to join him at the City.

Chelsea is hoping that a bid in the region of £30 million would be able to tempt Inter to sell.

Candreva is open to joining Conte at Stamford Bridge, as the pair enjoyed a good time together when Conte was the manager of the Italian national team.
