Chelsea appears not to be too desperate to sign a competing right wing back to Victor Moses. The Blues who have been in talks with Real Madrid over the transfer of Danilo to Stamford Bridge appear to be holding on to their own valuation of the Brazilian, an amount that might be a deal breaker for Real Madrid.
Madrid is demanding Chelsea pay £30.8 million for Danilo, but the Blues see that amount as too high for a player who is not even a first choice at the Bernabeu. Chelsea values him at £28 million, and unless something changes, they are unwilling to revise that price upwards.
Danilo joined Real Madrid from FC Porto in the summer of 2015 for a deal worth £27 million and has failed to usurp Daniel Carvajal for a starting spot in Zinedine Zidane’s team.
Chelsea is hoping that signing Danilo would help Alex Sandro decide to force a move to Stamford Bridge as the pair remain very good friends. Danilo won the last two UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid, and Conte wants him to bring that experience to London as they return to Europe’s elite club competition.
