Premier League champions Chelsea have completed the signing of Ajax wonder kid, Daishawn Redan.
The young Dutch attacker is considered the best player to come out of the famed Ajax academy in recent times. He was on the shopping list of several teams this season, most notably, Manchester United Manchester City and RB Leipzig. But he has chosen to sign for Chelsea.
The player himself posted a picture of him holding a Chelsea shirt with the number 9 at the back on his social media handle stating his delighted to have signed for the Blues.
His signing is expected to be announced within the coming days alongside other new academy recruits.
The Blues who recently gave a new contract to Tammy Abraham, another of their academy graduate are building themselves into the continent’s top provider of footballing talent, and this signing is sure to solidify that position.
Redan scored 21 goals in 29 matches spread across U15, U16, and U19 level for Ajax.
Manchester United will be gutted to miss out on his signing as they have spent an enormous amount of time scouting the youngster.
