Chelsea is set to complete their third signing of the summer after Willy Cabalero, and Antonio Rudiger.
The Blues have been in talks with AS Monaco for the transfer of Tiemoue Bakayoko, and have finally agreed on a deal with the French champions.
The deal was delayed when the Blues attempted to renegotiate their offer following news that the player had undergone keyhole surgery that would see him miss at least the first 5 matches of the season. But the two clubs have now reached an agreement for a fee in the region of £40 million.
Bakayoko was pictured moving to London by train yesterday while reading the Daily Mail as well as having an English beginner’s manual.
His arrival is set to end the Chelsea career of Nemanja Matic as Juventus and Manchester United look to take advantage and sign the Serbian. Matic is expected to hold talks with Conte about his future next week so that he can decide if he would remain or leave Stamford Bridge after winning two Premier League titles.
